    一般情況下，機械霧化過程產(chǎn)生的油霧主要以液滴形態(tài)存在，液滴直徑范圍較寬，通常為2-10um。蒸發(fā)產(chǎn)生的油蒸汽在冷凝過程中也會形成直徑非常細小的冷凝懸浮體，粒徑通常為2um以下。

    油蒸汽和大顆粒液滴對人體肺部的危害相對較小。以油蒸汽形態(tài)存在的油霧被吸入肺部又被呼出，它們并不會被肺泡捕獲，而大顆粒的油滴無法通過鼻子和支氣管進入肺部。只有以液滴形式存在，且直徑小于5um的油霧顆粒才能順利到達肺泡，并在肺部沉淀，從而造成對人體的危害。
